Warm, buttery biscuit shortcakes layered with Amaretto Peach Pecan Preserves and fresh whipped cream—an easy, Southern-inspired dessert that’s perfect for brunch or spring gatherings.
Ingredients
Biscuits

2 Cups Old School Brand Buttermilk Biscuit Mix

½ Cup Butter
-
¾ Cup Milk
Filling & Topping

1 Cup Fischer & Wieser Amaretto Peach Pecan Preserves

1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
-
2 Tbs Powdered Sugar
-
½ tsp Bourbon Vanilla Extract

Optional: extra chopped pecans for garnish
Directions
Bake the biscuits
Mix butter into mix with a pastry mixer or fork until mixture reaches crumb consitency.
Mix in milk to make a dough.
Knead lightly to mix only.
On floured surface, roll out dough ½ inch thick and cut into 2½ in discs.
Bake biscuits on greased pan at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes
Whip the Cream
In a chilled bowl, beat heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
Warm the Preserves
Gently warm the Amaretto Pecan Preserves in a small saucepan over low heat for 2-3 minutes until slightly loosened.
Assemble
Split biscuits in half.
Layer a spoonful of warm Amaretto Peach Pecan Preserves and a dollop of whipped cream
Top with more Amaretto Peach Pecan Preserves and finish with chopped pecans.
