Warm, gooey, and made for slow mornings outside, these Dutch Oven Cinnamon Rolls are an easy campfire treat with soft cinnamon dough and sweet icing drizzled over the top.
1 package of Stonewall Kitchen’s Cinnamon Bun Mix
5 tbsp cold butter
½ cup milk
Filling mix packet 3 tbsp softened butter
1-2 tbsp milk, for icing
Preheat the Dutch oven to 400°F and grease lightly.
Mix the filling packet with softened butter until combined. Set aside.
Combine cinnamon bun mix and cold butter until crumbly. Stir in milk to form a dough.
Knead dough briefly, then roll into a rectangle.
Spread the cinnamon filling over the dough. Roll up tightly into 2 logs.
Slice logs into bite size pieces. Place cinnamon rolls in the greased Dutch oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Mix the icing packet with 1-2 tbsp milk, then drizzle over the warm cinnamon rolls. Serve fresh and warm!
